Anushka is an actress and producer from Bollywood. She is acclaimed for her acting and as one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. Her parents were Kumar Sharma & Ashima Sharma. Anushka's father is a colonel retd. Her mother works as household worker. Karnesh Singh, her brother and filmmaker, was a member of the Merchant Navy. Anushka Sharma has completed her education at the Army School, Bangalore and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) from Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. In 2017 Anushka made her modelling debut for the designer Wendell Rodricks's Les Vamps Show at Lakme Fashion Week and was selected by him to be the last model in the Spring Summer 2007 Collection. Anushka Sharma has been involved with a number of campaigns for brands after her Lakme Fashion Week debut. This includes campaigns with Fiat Palio and Fiat Whisper Nathella Jewelry. Anushka started auditioning films as an actor and attended an acting class alongside her career as a model. Anushka made her debut as an actor in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi with Shah Rukh Khan. In order to prepare for the screening test, Anushka Sharma stayed an entire day. Then she was signed for three movies under the Yash Raj Films banner. She played a younger wedding bride to a middle-aged actor (Shah Rukh Khan) in the film. The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka performed alongside Shahid Kapoor, Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 film "Badmash Company". The movie received mixed praises. Anushka was also seen with Ranveer in the film "Band Baaja Baaraat', in which she portrayed the role of a Punjabi middle-class girl who set up her own company. It was a surprise hit and received good reviews. Anushka has completed her 3-film contract with Yash Raj Films after Band Baaja Baaraat.
